Ronald McDonald Family Room in Wollongong

Take a moment to come together as a family at the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Wollongong Hospital. This special space is a haven of comfort and care, offering you and your loved ones a much-needed break while your child receives treatment. Step away from the clinical environment of the ward and into our warm, welcoming Family Room, where our incredible volunteers are always ready to make you a cup of tea or offer you a freshly baked muffin or piece of cake.

Our Family Room is more than just a place to rest—it’s a home-away-from-home, complete with a full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry facilities, as well as a cosy lounge area and a children’s play space. It’s a place where you can relax, recharge, and simply be together as a family.

Eligibility

We believe every family deserves a sanctuary within the hospital, and that’s why our Family Room is free and open to all families whose children are undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment at Wollongong Hospital. We are here to support local families through their most challenging times.

Fees

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Ronald McDonald Family Room is completely free of charge. It’s because of these wonderful contributions that families in Wollongong have a place to find peace and comfort, away from the stresses of the hospital wards.
