Ronald McDonald Family Room in Royal North Shore Hospital

Take a moment to come together as a family at the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Royal North Shore Hospital.

This inviting space provides a sanctuary of comfort and care, offering you and your loved ones a much-needed break while your child receives treatment.

Step away from the ward and into our welcoming Family Room, where you’ll find full kitchen and bathroom facilities, complimentary refreshments, and a comfortable family lounge and dining area to relax and recharge.

Our Team

Our Ronald McDonald Family Room is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, all under the caring leadership of our Family Room & Volunteer Manager, Wendy Chin. Together, they ensure that every family who enters finds the support and comfort they need during their hospital stay.

Eligibility

We believe every family deserves a home-away-from-home within the hospital, a peaceful retreat away from the clinical environment of the ward. That’s why our Family Room is free and open to all families whose children are undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment in the Paediatric Ward of the Royal North Shore Hospital. We’re here to support local families during some of their most challenging times.

Fees

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Ronald McDonald Family Room is completely free of charge. It’s because of these wonderful contributions that families at Royal North Shore Hospital have a place to relax and simply be together, away from the stresses of the hospital wards. If you would like to offer your support or donate goods to our Family Room, please contact our House.

Make a Difference for Families & Children

Parents don’t know when their children will need medical help. But they should know they can always access the care they need. And with your help, we can support them all throughout their journey.
